I’m Krystie O’Mara, and I am thrilled to share my journey with you, highlighting the dedication and artistry that define my work.

A Journey Rooted in Compassion and Transformation

My career path took an unexpected yet fulfilling turn when I transitioned from being a veterinary nurse to pursuing my true passion in beauty. Becoming a mother to my beautiful little man meant that I could no longer keep up with the demanding hours of my previous role. While the work was rewarding, it was time to find a new way to make a positive impact on people’s lives. I discovered that, like many women, I struggled with self-confidence, and I wanted to use my skills to help others feel confident and beautiful. The transformative power of well-shaped eyebrows, for instance, inspired me to become a beauty therapist and cosmetic tattooist.

Crafting a Unique Professional Path

Since completing beauty school, I’ve been committed to setting myself apart in the industry. Within just 12 months of opening my salon, I established a thriving business with a loyal customer base. Owning and running a successful salon has allowed me to grow as an artist and continuously expand my range of services. My approach is deeply personal; I take the time to get to know each client, understanding their needs and crafting a bespoke plan to help them achieve their beauty goals.

Education and Expertise in the Art of Beauty

My dedication to learning and mastering my craft is evident in my extensive training and certifications. I have trained under three different experts in cosmetic tattoo procedures, gleaning valuable insights and techniques from each to develop my unique style. In addition, I hold around ten masterclass certifications in treatments such as laminations, lash lifts, and brow stains. Continued education and support from a PMU academy, led by one of the industry’s global leaders, Beauty Slesh, ensure that I stay at the forefront of the field.

What sets KO Artistry and Beauty apart is my commitment to precision and client satisfaction. My home salon provides a private and welcoming space where I take my time to deliver exceptional service. Brow mapping is a particular area of expertise, ensuring symmetry and enhancing natural beauty. I believe in the power of open communication, working closely with clients to develop a plan that meets their expectations and aligns with their vision. This collaborative approach helps avoid disappointment and builds trust.

The beauty industry needs a change—it’s too easy for individuals to enter the field without comprehensive training. My mission is to provide exceptional service rooted in thorough knowledge and skill. I regularly correct mistakes made by others and strive to educate clients on the importance of proper techniques. This passion for quality and dedication to continuous learning keep me motivated and ensure that I deliver the best possible outcomes for my clients.

Building Strong Client Relationships

At KO Artistry and Beauty, I prioritise building strong relationships with my clients. Extended treatment times allow for meaningful discussions and meticulous execution, ensuring that each service is performed to its full potential. 

One of my most rewarding experiences was helping a client who had lost her brow hairs due to chemotherapy. Through cosmetic tattooing, we restored her brows, leading to tears of joy and a renewed sense of confidence.
